Daintree Networks Appoints Veteran Technology Investor and Executive Dan Eilers to Board of Directors

Eilers to Provide Strategic Growth Expertise as an Independent Director

Mountain View, Calif. – December 14, 2010 – Daintree Networks, Inc., a leading provider of innovative wireless lighting control solutions for energy-smart buildings, today announced the appointment of Dan Eilers to the company’s Board of Directors as an independent director. Mr. Eilers brings more than 25 years of information technology management and investment experience, and currently serves as managing director at Vanguard Ventures, a leading early stage venture capital firm.

In his current position at Vanguard Ventures, Eilers specializes in seeking out and investing in information technology companies in a variety of sectors. He has held executive leadership roles at several companies, including CEO of Claris Corporation, Chief Marketing Officer of Apple Computer, CEO-in-residence at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and board member to several successful early stage companies including Echelon, an early pioneer in intelligent building controls infrastructure.

About Dan Eilers
Dan Eilers is a Managing Director at Vanguard and invests in software, hardware, storage, and other information technology companies. He brings over 25 years of technology management and venture capital experience to his role, including serving as the President and CEO of three companies--two private, one public, was the founding managing partner of Apple Computer's venture capital fund, has been an active angel investor/advisor to start-ups, and the chief marketing officer at Apple Computer.

Prior to joining Vanguard Ventures, Dan was an angel investor, advisor and board member to several early stage private and public companies. He also served as President and CEO of CIDCO, Inc., a consumer telecommunications products company, where he oversaw the launch of twelve new products and revenue growth to over $250 million. While CEO-in-residence at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, he advised portfolio companies on operational and strategic matters and became CEO and President of NAT Systems, a private enterprise software and services company backed by KPCB, which was subsequently acquired. Dan held the Chief Marketing Officer position at Apple, and established and led for six years Apple's strategic investment group. Dan also led Claris Corporation as President and CEO as it grew from being the world's 13th largest to the 8th largest vendor of personal computer software applications, and served as a board member for Echelon in its pre-public period.

Dan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Washington, and an MBA degree from Stanford University.
