2400E Sensor Network Adapter

The 2400E Sensor Network Adapter is a capture accessory that acts as an observation and control point enabling the use of Daintree's Sensor Network Analyzer (SNA) software in live wireless embedded networks.

More than just a capture device, this versatile Adapter can also join live ZigBee networks to actively poll and commission devices.

The 2400E Sensor Network Adapter provides both Ethernet and USB interfaces (2.4GHz). It is portable and light-weight, making it suitable for use in remote locations.

An overview of the 2400E Sensor Network Adapter's key functionality is provided below. Download the datasheet if you require more detailed information.

How to buy

Versatile and powerful

  • Capture data, including multi-node capture when used with the SNA Professional edition, plus passive "sniffing" observation for both test and live networks.
  • "Actively" analyze live ZigBee networks: gain information not available through passive "sniffing" alone, such as discovering the network structure, scanning channels to discover available devices and ambient energy levels, and polling devices to determine information such as power/battery levels and LQI (link quality).
  • Commission ZigBee devices and networks over-the-air: start new networks or join existing ones, connect and disconnect devices, specify configuration and security settings, monitor and capture network formation and performance for troubleshooting, perform service discovery, bindings, and over-the-air firmware upgrades.

Get started quickly in USB mode

  • A single 2400E adapter, connected directly to a PC running the SNA software, will quickly collect and display captured packets. No external power source is required.
  • For smaller and minimally distributed networks, rapidly display network formation or statistics.

Analyze a large physically dispersed network

  • With Ethernet networking, place multiple Ethernet-connected 2400E adapters in different locations. Wireless Ethernet bridges allow placement in remote locations and areas not wired with Ethernet.
  • Obtain a single time-correlated view of the entire network, regardless of network size or distance. All 2400E adapters are synchronized by the SNA software, enabling detection and discard of duplicate traffic.

Add more 2400E adapters as your needs increase

  • Start with one or two 2400E adapters and add more as your needs and networks grow.
  • With standard Ethernet support, place your 2400E adapters anywhere.
  • With the purchase of multiple SNA software licenses, allocate and share 2400E adapters between multiple users on a single-user per adapter basis.
