The SNA is compatible with devices from the Renesas RZB-CC16C-ZDK ZigBee Demo
Kit. You can use the Integration USB ZigBee Dongle provided as part of the
Renesas kit as a capture device.
You can also use the dongle with the SNA to "actively" interact with live
networks and devices, to do things like over-the-air configuring of devices
during commissioning, managing networks by forcing devices to join or leave,
scanning and discovering network structure, and measuring parameters such as
link quality and power levels.
This kit also includes a copy of the Basic edition SNA software, which provides a 30-day trial of the SNA Standard and Professional editions including 30
days of support from Daintree Networks. Note that the free Basic
edition of the SNA is an unsupported product.
About the Renesas kit
The ZigBee Demo Kit (ZDK) includes hardware, software and documentation
necessary to experience true ZigBee networking capabilities first hand.
The hardware consists of four M16C 2.4 GHz RF development boards with one
board preprogrammed with sniffer functionality. Additional boards can be ordered
to expand the network. The software include a full implementation demo version
of the ZigBee stack and IEEE 802/15/4 MAC. The ZDK comes with a Renesas packet
sniffer that can follow devices as they create and join networks and trace
packets transmitted over the air between nodes.
