Daintree and the ZigBee Alliance
Daintree Networks is among the ZigBee Alliance's most active members. The ZigBee Alliance is an association of companies working together to enable reliable, cost-effective, low-power, wirelessly networked, monitoring and control products based on an open global standard.

Daintree promotes and educates people about ZigBee technology at Developers Conferences and similar events, and its executives serve in ZigBee Alliance leadership roles including working group chairs, specification editorial position, and technical steering committee membership.
The Daintree Sensor Network Analyzer plays an essential role in ZigBee Interoperability events, where it is used as the primary platform-independent means of visualizing, recording and verifying conformance to ZigBee specifications and test plans.
As an active member of the ZigBee Alliance, Daintree is playing a vital role in bringing the first wave of interoperable standards-based sensing and control products to market.

What does Daintree mean?
The name "Daintree" comes from a rainforest, river, and township in far north Queensland (Australia).
The Daintree Rainforest, at over 135,000,000 years old, is one of the oldest rainforests on the planet. It is home to the largest range of plants and animals on earth, and all are found within the largest chunk of rainforest in Australia: an area spanning approximately 1200 square kilometers.
In 1988, it was added to the World Heritage List in recognition of its universal natural values.
The enormous potential that technologies such as ZigBee and 802.15.4 hold for tackling global energy issues and protecting our environment can help to guarantee that future generations continue to enjoy and learn from this unique and special part of the world.
