Based in Mountain View, California, with an R&D facility in Melbourne, Australia, Daintree Networks is a clean technology company that provides wireless control solutions for commercial buildings.
Daintree has a strong background in wireless sensor and control mesh networking, with extensive knowledge and experience gained through its industry-standard design verification and operational support tool, the Sensor Network Analyzer (SNA).
In addition to our wireless embedded experts, Daintree has put together
a team of seasoned professionals from the lighting, telecommunications,
and networking worlds. This diverse team has helped to not only broaden
our knowledge and expertise, but to also make us look at things from
more than one viewpoint, which in turn has helped us to design and
build more dynamic and robust solutions.
That expertise and knowledge is now being focused on the development of cost-effective building automation systems. These provide benefits including reduced energy consumption and carbon footprint, compliance with new "green" building regulations, and cost savings available through government rebates and the ability to take advantage of demand response programs.
In a rapidly evolving and competitive market place, getting full-featured, reliable products to market quickly is key to success. Daintree’s Wireless Lighting Control Solution (WLCS) allows lighting manufacturers to speed their time to market, and enables them to deliver powerful, comprehensive, flexible, and reliable wireless lighting control systems for commercial buildings.

Daintree and the ZigBee Alliance
Daintree Networks is an active member of the ZigBee Alliance, which is an association of companies working
together to enable reliable, cost-effective, low-power, wirelessly
networked, monitoring and control products based on an open global
standard.
Daintree promotes and educates people about ZigBee technology at
Developer Conferences and similar events, and its executives have served in
ZigBee Alliance leadership roles.
The Daintree Sensor Network Analyzer plays an essential role in
ZigBee Interoperability and certification events, where it is used as the primary
platform-independent means of visualizing, recording and verifying
conformance to ZigBee specifications and test plans. |

What is Daintree?
The name "Daintree" comes from a rainforest, river, and township in far north Queensland (Australia).
The Daintree Rainforest, at over 135,000,000 years old, is one of
the oldest rainforests on the planet. It is home to the largest range
of plants and animals on earth, and all are found within the largest
chunk of rainforest in Australia: an area spanning approximately 1200
square kilometers.
In 1988, it was added to the World Heritage List in recognition of its universal natural values.
The enormous potential that technologies such as ZigBee and 802.15.4
hold for tackling global energy issues and protecting our environment
can help to guarantee that future generations continue to enjoy and
learn from this unique and special part of the world.
